As an artisit, creativity is simply life.
For two decades, I’ve worked with dialogue and presence, exploring how meaning arises between us, in silence and in the space between words. That same living field moves through my art practice. Each mark and surface becomes part of an unfolding conversation between colour and texture, gesture and stillness, inner and outer, self and world.
I explore painting as revelation. Rooted in the unconscious, spirituality, and contemplative practice, each work unfolds intuitively, as in dialogue, listening for potential. When I paint or draw, I step into a process of discovery and exploration, into the hidden beauty of the ordinary everyday, and the wonder of timelessness and matter.
I draw from Jung’s vision of the psyche as a creative field, and from Sufi and Tao understandings of the sacred as immanent in the ordinary. To paint in this way is to yield – and to let material, intuition and the unconscious speak until the image finds its own rhythm and voice.
What emerges often feels both strange and simple – the beauty of the everyday illuminated by itself. The paintings are traces of encounters, where the seen and unseen meet for a moment in shared presence and invite the viewer to enter that same kind of seeing — attentive, open and transformed.
I have a Fine Arts BA (Hons) and have brought a creative and artistic perspective to my work in music, film, photography and design for many years. I am a competent outdoor photographer and audio/video producer/editor.
